A memory that stands out to me is when we held a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Workshop with hospital staff to update providers on the evaluation and technical skills for stabilizing and resuscitating newly born babies who are not breathing or whose heart is not beating normally. We followed the Neonatal Resuscitation Guidelines developed by members of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Mark reported to the MHM Board that within days, the skills that were updated were applied by the hospital staff to resuscitate a newly born baby who was not breathing after being born. The baby recovered and was well at the time of discharge to home. Praise God for all of the stories like this one that remind us just have valuable the hospital in St. Ard really is!
